In September 1996, he received orders to go back to Korea for the third time where he was ordained as an Elder and appointed Pastor of the Upper Room COGIC in Osan, Korea. After a very successful year of pastoring a church on the economy of Korea, he departed Korea leaving that church in the best shape of its history. The church was left with two vans bought and paid for, financial stability and a growing membership, all within a year’s time frame. After returning from Korea he accepted the challenge of becoming the pastor of the Gospel Temple COGIC, formerly known as Garvin’s Temple located at 204 West Duffy Street in Savannah, Georgia. Gospel Temple had humble beginnings but God has since giving them increase in many areas of ministry. The ministry began with eight members and has since experienced significant growth.

The Lord has truly blessed the Gospel Temple church tremendously. In October 2000, the Lord blessed them to purchase their own building with plenty of room for growth and expansion. Many people from far and near have had the Gospel Temple experience where God is moving by his power. The presence of the Lord can be sensed as you enter the doors. In September 2004, the “Fellowship of Love Worship Center” was birthed out of a vision God gave to Pastor Murray. The ministry was started as an outreach ministry to accommodate parishioners that was traveling to Savannah from the Hinesville, Fort Stewart area. Since then, God has placed His approval on this ministry and it has become a full pledge ministry now recognized as the Fellowship of Love Worship Center where God is blessing people weekly. In September 2006 the Lord placed his seal of approval on this ministry by allowing them to acquire 126 acres of land paid for in full in which they have plans to build the “City of Love” in Midway Georgia which is located between Hinesville and Savannah. This will be the Headquarters Church and plans are already underway for the first phase which will be a sanctuary that will seat 600. They have plans of building a Family Life Center, Day Care Facility, Wedding Chapel and a subdivision that will generate money to help fund the vision. The Gospel Temple Church name has since been changed to “The Fellowship Of Love Community Church” and was made official at their Watch Night service in December 2007. The Fellowship of Love is now one church in two locations.

Pastor Murray is a man of vision and purpose who loves God’s people and God is using him to do a great work for the Body of Christ.
